Again?

Yeah, I know: two entries, two days in a row. Crazy.

Took my Japanese test today: it wasn't bad. I can't really tell with these new tests yet. Kojima-sensei is making everyone do those study groups. Should be interesting, and possibly a little helpful.

I am in the process of doing my laundry right now, so I'll be right back.
........
Alright, I'm back.

Ok, so tomorrow, finally, the campaign will begin. Hopefully, it'll be to the liking of the players. Hopefully, everything will go smoothly, and the players can ably advance past the introduction. Before that, I have to do some work, because I kept putting it off for so long. Embarrassing. I've had how long to do this, and it still isn't done?

I'll try to finish it while my laundry is in the dryer, before I go to bed. I have to wake up at 8, anyway, so I won't be fully rested no matter what. No sense wasting time sleeping, right?

Also, game club is a failure. I think the peak members we've had so far is 5 or 6 at once. When half the club graduates, it suddenly is apparent that game club just isn't that great anymore. I likw going, but I also feel like I don't HAVE to go. Last year, Chris and Caitlin brought a TV, and their computers, and their game stuff, and I brought mine. Now, Chris, Caitlin, and Tom have graduated, Shane has classes at night, Tony teaches, and Lauren, Mike, Melissa, and Lloyd have work sometimes. This leaves me, Katie and Jared. Not even enough for a full game of Smash.

It started to look promising in the beginning, when Jackie, her friend, and two kids from my Japanese class started coming. However, I think the week when WE WEREN'T GIVEN A ROOM really scared off any newcomers. I'm thinking of plugging it at the study sessions for Japanese, but the problem with video games is that it's really just easier to play in your room, where you're comfortable, and don't have to deal with the agony of social interaction.

C'mon guys, come out to play. Seriously, while there are some weird people there, every club is like that, I'm sure. I'm thinking that the best thing to do really is to just plug game club during Japanese, or at the study session, and to table. I've really got to do that. A big problem is that people just don't know about us. If it hadn't been for my management seminar class freshman year, I'm pretty sure game club would be left with Jared and Katie, with the occasional visit from Scooter John.

What we need is fresh meat. Freshmen, who like a wide variety of games, and are willing to bring their PS2 if I bring the Wii. They've got to like us enough that they'll come every week, and eventually want to run for office. Then, THEY can bring the TV! Yeah, that's one of the biggest pains: bringing my TV down to game club. Although, this Thursday, I think I'll be bringing Lauren's TV because it's a flat panel, and much easier to lug around. 'Course, I've got to walk it from Herter to the Campus Center, but it's nowhere near as bad as the other TV would be.

So, I guess it's not really the lack of members that bothers me, it's the lack of consistent members. When me and Lauren started going, we knew who was going to be there every week, and it was nice. Now, I know I'll see Jared and Katie, who are great people, but it's not really a club when there are three of you.

Well, I should start that homework that I don't actually have to do for Management in the morning. THEN I'll do the campaign stuff, I swear.
