Post-Canada Day.

142 years young. And pretty fucked up, for all that.

I just started playing ADOM (http://www.adom.de) once again. It's been a couple years at least, since shortly after I got the now-dead MacBook. Now I'm playing in Ubuntu. I've only started two characters so far. The gray elven assassin I tried yesterday got slain pretty stupidly early on. I was a little tight on the keyboard, perhaps.

The second character, a gray elf elementalist, is going quite strongly, considering how out of practice I should be. After about a day's work, she's level 17 in the midgame, looking to begin my usual Water Temple approach. I wasted a lot of time trying to get my deity to give me some love, though, so it's been a slower game (game time-wise) than my usual would've been back in the day, which could be problematic later on. It shouldn't be completely horrible for a while yet, though. And for all that lovin', she's gotten pretty buff.

It has been quite enjoyable so far. I just need to find a source of teleport control and things might get faster. A blessed pair of seven league boots would be ideal. I squandered all my holy water, so I can't bless any of my other important stuff. My resource management needs some fine-tuning.

She's going, though. She's going.

It might engender inspiration for SouthLab or Soulthieves.
