Poem: Kate’s Dresses.

Jul 05, 2011 19:53

eyes draw to the fore
periodicity
cool hands smooth fine lines
fascinators intrigue fey minds

depths of wonder enrobed in blue
a prince’s hand, leading thrones, guiding youth
a moment’s calm carries generations to life
portation of will, ignite the first time

we see in a dress
all we could be
yet we stand
likewise

eyes held captive
high fashion
European class to old provinces
a duchy not there intrigues

The regal visit of the Willskate continues. And a monarchy and its media drool.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan wonders if it's going to be okay now that the Canadians are leaving.

But at least we have the Willskate.

"Kate’s Dresses", dated 2 July 2011.

I've written a number of pieces recently. Stay tuned, if interested.
