My Super Power

One of the few areas where AOL email beat all others hands-down was the ability to unsend an email you had sent to another AOL user before he or she had read it. Since I now only use my AOL accounts as a spam catch-all for one and to be retro cool on the other, I find I miss being able to have the out of reaching into another's inbox to take back the inappropriate and heated missive I fired off in a moment of passion.

Of late, though, I have found that the email client I use, which has no less than about a dozen active accounts in it, is slow enough to where I can click "Send" and have enough time to ponder whether or not I really want to send that mail while it negotiates a transaction with a remote mail server. And today I have been able to click SEND, change my mind about sending the mail, and click the CANCEL button in time to belay the sending of the message no less than three times. Technically, this makes me faster than email.

And that is my super power.
