Album Info:
This is DJ Celory's first original album. It dropped some time in 2004. Bonds was the only single off the album from what I know. You might have heard some of these tracks from DJ Celory's Beats Legend II Mix CD I upped a while back. By the way, just in case you didn't know, Dob-Roc previously went by Akita Inu Dobu-Roku and Maccho is also known as Ozrosaurus.
My Thoughts:
Okay, so I absolutely love a couple tracks, like a couple more, but hate like half the album. So I gotta keep it real. To me, Last Line is the single track that overshadows the rest of the album. It's worth checking the album out if only for that one. The song has a great R&B hook by Dob-Roc with some awesome rhymes by Aktion. I could live without B-Yas, but whatever. Bonds is one of my favorite Tokona-X's songs. I was never a really big fan of his or anything, but definitely can't hate on Bonds. Dob-Roc really shines on this album. His other track, Play-N-Life, is pretty nice too. Also, the Dabo/Hi-D combo in This is How We Do is nice. Many of the other tracks have annoying hooks or wack emcees that screw it up in my opinion. Still, the album is thoroughly enjoyable. I will say that Beautiful Tomorrow was a huge improvement over this.
Been a couple days, and I apologize. Got caught doing other stuff. Work was crazy on Labor Day. One of the other supervisors at my store straight walked out and I had stay a little bit later. I'm glad I was making that time and a half, I deserved it. lol
Anyways, anybody checked out Foxxi MisQ's single for Say You Luv Me? There's a track with Simon called Take Control I was really hype about, but when I heard it I was kinda pissed. The beat is a straight rip-off of Salt and Pepper's Push It! Look, Heartsdales already did a version of that song, it's time for Japan to leave it alone! I started listening to it a little more and really got into it though. Simon spits hot fire! lol. If you can get "Push It" out of your head long enough to give it a chance, you'll probably like it. Still not very happy 'bout that though.
Jay'ed's single for Zutto Issho is floating around Jpop n Kpop and Ongaku Street. I highly recommend it. I liked every track. However, Zutto Issho is still my favorite from the single. I'm kinda surprised I haven't seen it on CDTV. Oh well.
I finally decided to check out TBNY on youtube and found their video for "Take My Soul." Hot video. Yankie is the most gangsta nerd I've ever seen lol. They've got some other videos up there and a ton of live performances with Epik High.
That's it for tonight I guess. I should get another in in the next couple days. I've got some new stuff re-upped but I'm feeling kinda lazy right now lol. I'll probably edit this post and get up tomorrow sometime. Thanks for checking out the Miyako, and 体にピース!
