I never use this...

But when I am actually *this* upset about something, I can't stop thinking about it.

But it's nothing important, as per usual.
If you've ever read Parasyte you might have known that there has been a movie planned on this series for quite some time. Pretty much ever since the late 90s after the book series won an award, and Sci-Fi/Horror was hitting it big, there seemed to be a large interest in making this series into a feature film.

Somewhere along the course the potential project lost it's way. Instead of getting Parasyte in 1998, we got something that was just about there.
If you've seen the movie The Faculty the movie did a pretty good job of taking the story line to just about where it would have gone, minus the portion of the comic that actually made it Parasyte.

Aliens come down from outerspace, and they are little worms. They crawl inside of people's ears and take control of them. Much like The Puppet Masters, in the whole alien mind control department, but with the difference that the plot doesn't go any further than a highschool.
The teachers at a highschool, are being controlled by aliens, who mean to eventually take over the world...eventually.
The highschoolers do their job and stop this terrible occurance, and we go on with our lives.
They axed the hero from the script, and all of the features that the aliens were supposed to have, but we got a decent movie out of it.

Present day, Parasyte is allegedly slated for coming out somewhere around 2006.
Alien worms, come from outerspace, crawl into people's ears, take control. World domination, etc. The only person to potentially stop them, a highschool student. ...and the alien that has taken control of his arm, instead of him (accidentally).

Instead, we're going to get SLiTHER. And I am sure the movie will do well, considering who the alleged writer is. "Genre-bending screenwriter James Gunn" (Dawn of the Dead). So a meteor shower happens (Parasyte) that is carrying worms down to Earth (Parasyte) and these worms then crawl into people's ears (Parasyte) and turn them into monsters (Parasyte). And then it plays out like a zombie/alien movie, because we are "genre-bending" ...it is both a movie about aliens AND zombies. Because zombies are monsters too! Diversity, right? Some people get to turn into cool monsters, others are just zombies and shit. They're going to take over the planet via bonding with us to form some other kind of life form!

So instead of getting the movie I have been anticipating, there is still no word on where the hell that movie went to. Instead there is a movie coming out this month that is everything that Parasyte is, once again minus the hero. Literally everything about this movie has been ripped off, and now I don't think they are going to make the same movie *again*.

These are the kind of things that *really* irritate me.
