To the one or two people that read my livejournal, I am here to tell you of the sham that is USPS Priority Mail. The concept is you pay an added fee to get your mail delivered by 2-3 days. However, this service is not guaranteed. So what you are really paying for is the possibility that your mail may be delivered within the 2-3 day range, but probably not. I have sent 4 packages within the last month via Priority mail and not one-thats right, not one-has reached its destination within the 2-3 day period for which I paid extra. In one case, it took 2 weeks for the package to arrive. The shortest time for delivery was 5 days. And what, pray tell, can you do about it? Not a damn thing but bend over and take it in the ass. They can, and probably do, sit on your package and ship it with normal mail and make money for nothing.
Oh, and they lost an Xbox 360 I sold on ebay, so it appears I will be out $500, which is just peachy considering I am presently unemployed.
To the USPS, and the government in general, I say fuck you.
