hooray for video games!

I finally broke down and bought a PS2.  Really for the few games that I've always wanted to play but never got to (Katamari), and try some games that I can't on the other platforms (Kingdom Hearts, Guitar Hero, etc).

So, anyone know of good PS2 games that both Kate and I can play together?  (or GC or Xbox for that matter)?

Oh, I am getting a Wii... ( Read more... )

I'm guessing that's the Mario DDR clone?

Thinking of getting a mat for Kate to play DDR...I'd hurt myself if I tried to play :D

you need to get the ddr for ps2 ; )

you can score 2 of the good 'ignition' dance mats on ebay for ~$50 (including shipping).

it's so worth it.

as far as other games, i really liked the ratchet and clank series for quality platform games. you should be able to get every one of those games for under $20 now!

I was looking at rachet and clank..mainly b/c they were pretty cheap, now I'll have to pick one of them up :)

I'll keep the ignition's in mind if I ever look for mats...do they have a GC version ;)

; )

in all seriousness, ddrmax2 is the one for you since it has the 'beginner' level that is one step below the 'light' level. ddrmax1 doesn't have that feature. the two 'extreme' titles also have the beginner level, but i didn't care for the songs as much.

Cool, I'll keep an eye out for the pads plus max2. In all seriousness, I've tried playing once and realized that my feet aren't nearly as responsive as my fingers...and almost hurt myself finding that out :)
