That was pretty sick...

ok, so, there were 9 tables at taco mac today: 8 in the front room, two in the smoking. 9 people at each table = 72 people.

I collect a TON of chips. so much so that i had knocked 7 people out at my first table (they kept moving people to my table). moved on to my second table and knocked out two and gained a ton from another one of the chip leaders.
i'm CRUISING at 67000 chips (you start off with 5000) and still 4 tables left.
I stay about even until i moved to my last table.
now, the lady who is second in chips and only knows enough about what she's doing to be able to post blinds without having to be yelled at to do so, has about 52000 and we are at the final two tables.
well, it gets down to about 12 and nothing is happening. I get dealt sixes and bet 6000 (with blinds at 1000/2000) i get two callers when i hear "all in" i call the allin for 16000 (10000 more with 37000 in the pot) next guy moves allin for 17000 and then the other guy that calls moves all in for 25000 altogether. so, i have to 9000 to be able to win 89000. with those pot odds, 2-7o would have been good enough to call.
so, first caller turns over queens, next guy (the only one i'm scared of because it would mean an extra 9000 dent in my stack) shows j10o. guy who originally moved allin shows king's. so, i've got about a 13% chance of winning this preflop (which happened to be almost the exact pot odds, go figure) flop comes j102 turn:10 river: j.
the guy with the 4% chance of winning this, wins. and, well, needless to say when i had 57000 before this hand, i am just about crippled.
i fold every hand until the final table.
3 people go out at the final table and i'm big blind.
i get j8 of spades.
i check.
the flop comes 10spades 9hearts kingspades.
i've got 17 outs with only 34 cards in the deck left and 2 cards to come (any spade, a 7 or queen)
the lady next to me (who was still chip leader and still had no idea what she was doing) moves allin.
i am pretty darned shortstacked and decide to call.
she shows 10-10 for a set.
no help for me (even though HALF of the deck on EITHER the turn or river, woulda won it for me)

i'm out in 6th.

so close, yet so far. dammit.
