The first couple of years after I graduated high school, I had a couple of younger friends who were still in school. Whenever fall would roll around and they would start talking about having to go back to school, I would always say how thankful I was that I never had to go back. Deep down, though, I was actually a little jealous because I secretly missed going back to school with them. Now that I've graduated college, I have friends that are still enrolled and that are starting to talk about having to buy books, move into dorms and generally get ready for the start of classes. You know what? This time around, I don't miss it at all.
Starbucks is going pretty well. Much to my surprise, I've found that I don't really mind getting up at 4AM to open. It's having to go to bed at 8 the previous night that's a pain in the ass. Soon I will get my first paycheck, though, and all will be good.
We saw
Man with the Screaming Brain last night at the Landmark Midtown Art Theater with Bruce Campbell in attendance. The movie itself kinda sucked, sadly, but it was worth going to see Bruce Campbell speak for about 10 or 15 minutes before the movie started.
