Well I've got a job interview for Monday at 2:00. It's with a company called Natural Wellness, which apparently is a fairly new company (which always gives me doubts). It sounds fairly interesting though. Check it out:
Position Description
* The Traffic & Ingest Coordinator will manage the digital library of video programs in a file based work flow, (tapeless environment) using REV drives to ingest programming material according to schedules.
Responsibilities
* Understand and capable to work with a file based work flow system
* Quality control of incoming video content
* Ingest HD programs to a file server
* Turns code HD program files to MPEG2 for broadcast
* Build a traffic system as run logs
* Any other projects as assigned
It sounds like they'll pay about what I was looking to make (I may have even low-balled myself. Ouch) and the job sounds really interesting. It's definitely an entry-level job, which is perfect for me to get my foot in the door and get some experience. So everyone cross your finegrs for 1.) if it's as good as it sounds, I get it and 2.) it's not too good to be true and it doesn't turn out to be a shady operation (I have trust issues with smaller companies and businesses) But maybe this is it. Maybe this is the break I need. If it's a fun job and it means no more Walgreens, then I'm down.
I've already said it half a dozen times, but I hope you feel better Keli. I hope you're able to go out with your mom and have a fabulous time (you deserve it) and I hope you get plenty of rest before you have to work tomorrow.
