I was driving to work today and I got stuck in traffic. As I sit there griping about the bad traffic and my stupidity for going a way that put me in the heat of traffic, I thought about work and how much I hate my job. And I mean hate. It's not that it's a bad job or anything, I've just been there for so long and I am so sick of the same menial crap every day I work and throw in the fact that I didn't really get to see Keli before I went in and would be able to hang out with her if it wasn't for stupid work and I really didn't want to go in. Also, traffic was really bad and I didn't want to keep sitting in it. So on a whim I called in, took the next turn off the street and headed back for Keli. Now normally, when I call in simply because I don't feel like going in (which I've only done once at Walgreens, I actually have called in very few times for the two years I've been there) I usually wind up feeling guilty about it. I realize that I just screwed up the night for everyone else and that I could have used the money. But this time, I had zero regrets. I love spending time with Keli, and when it was time to go we had a really good talk in the parking lot. I didn't even notice the cold much (it was freakin' cold) until it was time to say goodbye. As much as I miss a lot of the *wink, wink* stuff with Keli, I think I miss being able to talk to her a lot the most. I've never connected to anyone in this world like I have with her. I'm so glad I didn't go to work today. I spent my morning finishing Buffy, got some Guitar Hero in, and then spent the evening with my best friend. Can't beat that. I also realized just how badly I hate my job and how much I have to get this job that I have a shot at. It'll give me less time to see Keli during the week, but weekends off (I'm assuming) and a hell of a lot more money. It'd definitely be harder to call in sick if I was making more than a measly $64 a day.
Also Keli, here are some laptops I found:

It's really hard to find a notebook under $400, but I found a couple. Keep in mind though, they won't be powerhouse, but they should be able to do what you need. You may also want to check some retail stores, sometimes they have special deals. If you need any help with anything let me know. I don't know how confident you are when shopping for a computer, but it's a lot like car shopping and you should never go alone. Those retail bastards will try to sell you stuff you don't need.
So all in all, it's been a wonderful day and hopefully tomorrow won't be too bad.
I love you.
