Feels like I haven't updated in a while. Sorry. After my previous update, we did end up exchanging gifts on Valentine's day. We bought each other electronics....smell the romance! I bought her a keychain jump drive for her laptop, and she bought me a video capture card for the computer. I just need to get some good editing software and then I can edit our home movies myself. (No, you sickos. Not THOSE kind of home movies. Stuff from our different vacations, like our honeymoon and trip to Vietnam).
So, I bought Rent on DVD on Tuesday when it came out, but didn't have a chance to watch it until tonight. I still love it as much as ever, happy to say. I was happy because at home I could sing along with the songs, I didn't realize how much of that show I have committed to memory. My wife, not so happy with my singing. We watched the deleted scenes, the alternate ending was amazing and it actually made us both tear up, and we were both like "How could they not use that?!" but then we watched the scene again with director's commentary and it made sense to drop it. It was a reference back to the play, but for film audiences, it would ruin the suspension of disbelief that a movie brings. Check out this movie if you haven't already.
