Where's the Sunshine?
So today was going to be fantastic! I was seeing a box of "Caramel Delights" Girl scout cookies, fruit smoothies and, most importantly, flip-flops. I got up all excited to have a little bit of my day be all about the above important stuff, but when I opened the blinds, I say something horrific! There were no angels seeing the hallelujah chorus. Birds were not sitting on my windowsill tweeting lovely tweets. And there were no squirrels and rabbits frolicking in the front of my house. All I saw was a HUGE puddle of water in the driveway with more rushing toward the little tiny vent thing in the street. The big tree in front of my house was bending in the ENORMOUS gusts of wind. And there were worms all over the sidewalk in front of my window. I felt the life just get sucked right out of me then! So much for cookies and fruit smoothies and for sure flip-flops! You know, I'm sitting here thinking "This always happens to me... I plan a me day and then it rains!" Why am I so surprised? I've lived here all my life! I should know better than to plan a me day or actually I should know better than to let huge amounts of rain and wind blow a whole day! I think I might just keep that date with the "Carmel Delights" cookies, fabulous fruit smoothies and most importantly, my flip-flops! And you know what else?... I think I'll put an umbrella in my fruit smoothie, too!
