So yesterday I found out I'm a forman. Coating Forman that is. Sweet. Morning safety meeting starts. "We get the usual it's incredibly easy to get killed, so don't speech" and I send my boys out to load up on the sleeves and epoxy kits and get my to do list from the boss. 13 joints worth of pipe to coat. "Make it last all day" sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.
So I tell my boys it's gonna be an easy day, and they're all happy and joking all day long now. Easy work, easy go.
So we go to the bar after work and start shitting around. It's the usual for a bunch of loud obnoxious pipeliners. So these boys go ahead and get me hammered for giving them a gravy day.
Good dudes.
Now today on the other hand. It was freezing goddamn cold, windy as fuck, and snowing like mad. And the shit work we had to do. ugh. walking pipe from stock piles down a 450 meter hill, unloading pipe trailers, just the shitty nobody likes to do it kind of work. So none of the boys were in a good mood at all. Definately a day to go for a few after work.
So we get to the bar and I opt to buy the first round. That dissapeared in a matter of minutes, so I signal the waitress for another round. After that one's gone I get up, drop a hundred bucks on the table, "Tonights on me boys" and walk out.
Damn I'm a good boss. I wish I worked for me.
(See. I'm not a complete asshole)
