Okay now you have made me feel guilty...well just a little bit.

New found fact - poking author gets more fic *cackles evilly*

You really do blow me away with your Lex thoughts. And I love the new bits. Lex in the bedroom was just hysterical. And the kitchen sceene was excellent. And go Clark for screwing up Lionel's plans. I loved that Lex was annoyed at himself for feeling jealous about the 'son' thing. Aww honey :( It made me want to shove Lionel out of a window.

And the hug at the end...aww, damn where did I put that box of hankies!!

*lol*

Eh, only sometimes! (There are a lot of WIPs for many of these series I have that are -not- anywheres close to a next-post.) But in this case, looking at the length of the fic, and having figured out my Lex-explanations for behavior and the next-step, I really couldn't in good conscience keep the cliffy out there any longer.

Thank you! *blushes*

*g* Yeah, poor Lex -- hungover, and really freaked out. Too bad he's too old to hide under his bed and knows it, right? ;)

Mmm, thank you -- I figured Lex oughta get the full "family meal" experience from the get-go, what with the asked-for Kent-invasion and all *g*

Yup, figure Clark oughta finish what he starts, after all. *nods* And yeah, Lex is hitting the jealousy thing a bit earlier in this 'verse than in the show, given the way events are playing out, since that bit at least will be more apparent far earlier now.

I have to confess, anything I do that makes somebody agree about shoving Lionel out a window makes me feel like I did something really right *smirks*

*hands you

So much love! This was awesome! I loved how the boys have so much miscommunication going on here, with Clark assuming that they have all these implicit agreements and Lex having no idea.

I also love the thing where Clark is actually a really good liar, but epic fails around Lex because he doesn't like lying to him (I think you did the same thing in Spooky Stuff?) Because, really, Superman would have to be a good liar and that doesn't gel with Clark's pathetic efforts. Your version is much better :).

And they hug! Clex hugs are love! There should be more of them in canon. *pouts*

So yeah, really good, and please excuse my incessant happygasming.

*g* Well, that's what happens when Clark tries to learn Luthor subtext without a users manual or a dictionary! *lol*

:) --Yep, that's a Spooky Stuff thing, too. I really do think guilt and the whole 'actually wanting to be able to tell him' thing are key factors there. --Thank you! (I actually justify early-season Clark's ability for such from one canon scene way back then -- when Morgan Edge sends his goons to the farm and Clark acts exactly like red-K "Kal" without the red-K... and right after the guy leaves/Clark turns away the whole expression/demeanor just fell off of his face like 'whoa'. So, yeah, there ya go -- proper motivation equals good-at-acting/lying-Clark ;)

*nods* Agreement.

*confused look* Excuse it? I'm simply thrilled that you're enjoying it! :)
