Hmmmm, I seem to have noticed a pattern...

I tend to have spurts of effort with posting stories, and these one- to two- to three-week lulls in-between.
I've started to realize that this is partially due to writer's block, mainly "stage fright" at things I post not being "good enough" or that no-one may like them. (I tend not to have these feelings with my 'inspiration fics' when I pound it out all at once and am too hyper to care what people think when I post.)
However, I'm beginning to think the main thing about the writer's block is that how I write and what I write depends on my mood, and vice-versa, so when there's that interconnectivity there, it can get difficult to write certain types of things if I'm not in the right mood... or don't want to be feeling certain things just then.
...which makes me start to look at all those "moody, tortured artist" comments in a new light. (Not that's I'm tortured or consider myself an artist ^_^;; )
Anywho, I've started a lot of fics now, all of which are WIP's in various phases of completion (actual writing, not just sketching down outlines). I've writing a lot more, but it means there will probably be a much bigger spacing between my fics for awhile, (hopefully) until I really get going. ...This is not to say that I won't break down and write some 1K fics now-and-again and throw them up there when I get disgusted with my lack of posting. It does mean that that sort-of thing is being channeled into WIPs more often, instead. (...And yes, I realize that I may run the risk of all the 'voices' in my fics starting to 'sound' the same if I do this and don't keep my fics more 'separate', but right now I figure it's better to just get stuff down and try to tweak the voices later when I edit than not get anything down at all, *sigh*)
Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys to know what's going on (since most of y'all on my friends list and who feed me comments(!) are a lot more prolific than I am). This is not to say that I haven't been pretty busy AFK, but there has been progress on fic-things in the meantime, too. I've got some stuff on the next in the "Spooky Stuff" sequence down already :) and I haven't forgotten the YMMV Lex POV, the No Justice Bingo sequence, or the continuation of the Kryptonian-mating madness prompt (which I should really cross-post from DW sometime soon, hmmm...), and I've got some new madness in the pipeline, too :) So, thanks for staying tuned -- I hope to make it worth your while! *g*
