This post is in praise of "Maarifa Street" by Jon Hassell.
For those who don't know about him, this interview gives a nice background, and for those who do, check out the little bit in it where he is being taught by Pandit Pran Nath. It is like being witness to the first moment where Jimi walked toward the P.A. for the first time.
Besides, he's a really nice guy.
