i could've also started this post with something about me going to my second esa conference.
except i'm not going.
so, yeah.
i think that's my first feeling of being left out.
the first of many for this year.
but, you know what, i'm glad about this, too.
a lot has been good so far.
i just need to make friends.
that'll help a lot.
i don't need a ton, just a few.
i went to the mfa thesis film showing last night with katie, a grad student here.
they were rather good.
i can understand why fsu has such a renowned film school.
i mean, they werent super creative, but they were very well executed.
she (katie) is pretty cool, too.
in other, bigger news, i have a visitor coming this thursday.
i'm excited.
it shall be a good weekend.
birthday and anniversary weekends rolled together.
i miss a lot, and whish it weren't relegated to phone calls and long weekend trips.
but i guess this is what life is.
this american life was really good today.
and it got me thinking a lot about writing.
and how i need to do more.
and not avoid the topics i always avoid.
i've got a lot closed off inside me somewhere.
i know i can let it out.
i have the ability.
(or so i tell myself)
i should just stop waiting for music and things to occur and pursue my own furthering of creativity.
if that makes sense.
i just wish i had more outlets at my disposal.
i rented the movie version of cathc-22 this week.
it was ok.
not fnatastic or nothin', but not bad.
the third, and final, roommate of the year is here now.
seems pretty cool.
we'll see how this goes.

sunday is a day of relaxing and domesticalities.
