What would you do if I followed you? Um, call the police?

I have the day off and I am doing NOTHING! JP and I tossed around several ideas, including day trips out of town, etc. but in the end I decided I was too poor. So I am here, avoiding the downstairs because if I go down there I will have to *gasp* CLEAN! NOOOOO!!!

So, why am I broke this month? I actually have some good excuses! First, I needed new jeans. Then, I decided to go ahead and pre-order Go-Lion and Emma: A Victorian Romance because I have been putting it off. Then I found these sandals. Aren't they cute?! And of course, Fiesta ain't cheap.

I was still fine at this point, but then Spike started having ear problems and it took the rest of my monthly spending money to get him looked at, etc. Poor baby needs daily ear drops and cleaning/flushing his ear canal. Yikes. Thank goodness for JP and his fierce animal skillz. You go, boy.

So due to my thoughtless over-spending, I had to charge my groceries and now I just have to lie low until the beginning of the month when I will start this shit all over again! But I won't have nearly as many expenditures. Hopefully.

Definitely no superfluous shopping next month as I have to start saving for summer events, including Stone Temple Pilots and (maybe) George Michael concerts as well as AnimeFest.

Well, toodles! Off to go take chicken out of the freezer so I can like cook it or something. o_O

Oh, yar - nice American Idol! Nothing I'd write home about, but the two Davids sang my two favorite songs from Phantom of the Opera. David C. especially knocked it out of the park, simply by staying true to the song and not messing with the melody or anything. *wuv*

ETA: Geez, I forget EVERYTHING! We went to see The Forbidden Kingdom, which I enjoyed muchly. It wasn't the best kung fu flick I have ever seen and it was definitely pandering a bit to Western audiences, but I loved it anyway! Jet Li as the Monkey King FTW! I just added all my favorite kung fu, Jet Li, and Chinese action films to my Netflix queue. I am particularly looking forward to seeing The Bride with White Hair again. LOL!

We also saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which was surprisingly funny. I could have done without the multiple penis shots, but otherwise it was very good! Just enough pathos to balance the grosser comedic bits.
