Like, Douglas Adams, my absolute favorite piece of information, that I admit is most assuredly an example of one of the first urban legends and thus a complete fabrication, yet it is so enticing one hopes it to be true. But I'm digressing away from the point too much here, is this: Branwell Brontë, brother of Emily and Charlotte, died standing up leaning against a mantelpiece, in order to prove it could be done.
Being stubborn I somehow feel that it must be possible if one is only obstinate enough.
