1) I haven't posted in a long time. A lot has happened, I'm quite happy, I just haven't felt like posting. I think I have also started posting many times and just erased it because I don't feel like what I have to say is interesting, or just something I don't want to share.
2) Camp is great. It's hard, and I come home exhausted every afternoon. But the kids are cute, and I love the staff. Pacific Yew (camp name) has this fantastic smile. I love the staff and I don't pass a day where I don't laugh. But trying to juggle ten kids who all need something opened or put away or a water break or have just fallen down and a high school student who needs mentoring isn't the easiest thing I've ever done. But we all know I prefer a challenge.
3) I love movies. I can't wait to see the movies that just came out or will soon. I think/hope Michael and I are going to see "The Lake House" soon. And here is the rest of the list of movies I plan to see in the near future:
The new Audrey Tatou French movie
"Raiders of the Lost Ark," (playing at Hollywood Theatre, I think)
Superman Returns
The Devil Wears Prada
Pirates of the Carribbean Two
(and there's probably more, I just can't think of them at the moment)
4) I adore the people I have seen so far. Meg and I have been hanging out lately, and I love her. She always makes me laugh and is a blast to be around. We went to coffee tonight with Eden and it was great. We also drove down to watch Matt MoRo play some baseball in Clackamas with Michael. We hung out, watched the game, walked the dog, ate, and visited the Rose Gardens. A near perfect day. Bonnie is now back from Turkey, Ellen Hockley called me yesterday, and I ran in to Meg DG today at the park. It's so refreshing to get to see my friends on my schedule, as opposed to last semester. Plus, my colleagues are once again great, and I got to see one of my favorite people, who is sadly not working at the park full-time this summer, but it was lovely to see him and hang out and reconnect.
5) I'm taking French and Yoga. And I'm biking home from work, or to there, depending. It's my goal to bike to and from Tryon three times a week by the end of the summer.
I think that's it. I'm happy. And good. And social. But I only have a month and a half left of summer, and that rather confuses me. Life goes so fast, even when you do stop to look around.
