Oh, I joined the chess club as a CCA. I'm rather interested in chess as a recreational thing at least, but chess club is quite... remote, socially remote, I've had two sessions which I simply spent playing (badly) against other people--and losing. I haven't been taught a thing.
And I'm the only girl who has attended thus far. And all the boys are incredibly snarky about my skill.
SAJC came around for a friendly, though my ability is undoubtedly unacceptable, a Year 2 student suggested that I 'play to get some exposure'. Four boys came and no one else. I was the worst and I lost every game.
One idiot turned around and simpered at his friend--who was playing against me and stealing my queen--oh harvey, harvey, you so cruel to girls hee hee hee... --LARDARSE
Harvey who was pretty shabby himself looked ridiculously pleased though he tried not to show it.
I am seriously considering absconding to Harmonica. I never even wanted to play a harmonica. Still, desperate times...
On the other hand KI was such fun.
