I'm a bad bad man. I haven't done any posting in a while, which is largely due to the amount of travel for which I have been doing for work-related reasons. So I'll try and sum up things all nice and neat.
Over Halloween weekend I went off to Seattle for the National Pan-Hellenic Western Regional conference. I wasn't really looking forward to it, but once I got there, I really got in to it. The speakers that they had for the large sessions were some of the best that I have ever heard. I'm always a minority in some way, primarily due to my sexual orientation, however, it was interesting to be a racial minority at this conference. It certainly challenged me, and I made sure to lean in and embrace any discomfort that I experienced.
Last weekend I was shipped off to Calgary, AB CANADA for the 6th annual Canadian Interfraternity Conference. I was invited to be the keynote speaker for the Saturday portion of the conference. The conference was small, but highly effective. It is amazing to me how underdeveloped the Canadian Fraternal system truly is. It is my goal over the next year to offer my services as a consultant to this developing group of students.
Coming up on the horizon is a four-day weekend starting tonight (YAY!), and then possibly a trip to Montana with James. Following that trip comes a work related trip to Los Angeles for my attempt to appear on the Price is Right and the AFA Annual meeting. After that, it's back to home for some deserved rest, before James and I head off to Florida for a long earned vacation.
I've been so busy, I've hardly had time to tap in to my feelings. It seems that I may be bottling up some of my feelings, which is not typically my style. Perhaps my horoscope tomorrow will offer me more insight as to why my feelings are currently masked.
