[Art] Family Reunion Pictures

Family Reunion:
Last month, I traveled to Missouri, staying at a really old lodge (built circa the 1920s) with my extended family for a while. It's become a bit of a tradition now to see them once every two years or so. It's particularly jarring to see my younger cousins (and nieces), essentially getting "slices" of their life -- a lot changes in two years, after all.

My particular contribution was to do a few bits of face-painting (or, really, arm-painting). I found that some "face paint pens" were far more practical for this than my typical brushes ... but the novelty of getting pictures drawn on your arm that get washed off after a bit appears to be wearing thin. I didn't have much call for that. I had more of a call for novelty portraits drawn on my Wacom tablet, using digital photos for poses and visual references.

Wedding Anniversary Card for My Parents:

(I was inspired by some of Mucha's poster designs.)

Haylee Riding a Dragon:

(Her costume is her own design, drawing some influence from a costume from "Sword Art Online.")

Fluttershy Party:

(A little cousin of mine requested a picture of Fluttershy dancing at a party with her animal friends; she also wanted Fluttershy to be wearing a pink dress -- she picked it out from some Google Image matches -- so I had to do some awkward tweaks to get Fluttershy to fit. This probably got the most reactions I've ever gotten when I posted a picture of this on Google+ -- not all of them positive, and most of them falling into the category of "non-sequitur." Ponies seem to draw out the weeeeeeeeirdness.)

Lady Ruthless and Her Shadow Minions:

(Vanity portrait of my cousin Ruth "in a wicked black dress, riding an evil black horse, and with a bunch of muscle-bound Viking warriors bowing before" her. I aim to please! It's really hard to see this on a white background, though.)

I've actually got a few other pictures that are still works-in-progress. I'll post those when I have something more done.
