Papercraft - ISO Shipping Containers
At 1:48 scale, an ISO container that is 8' high by 8' wide (as per the standard) translates into a 2" high by 2" wide model. These have been on my to-do list for a while (a while back, I thought of making some for the "Crime City / Moscow Connection" one-sheet adventure, for the warehouse encounter), but I've only now gotten around to them.
The "UNIMED" logo is from "War of the Dead," while the "OEI" logo is just totally made up. The lettering/coding on the sides doesn't follow ISO specs; I figured that the important thing was just to have some letters and numbers that looked vaguely like the sorts of things you would see on a real shipping container, rather than to try to be "accurate" regards what the container was supposed to be able to carry. (There's too much of a chance that after I looked into it and tried to be accurate, I'd still make some critical mistake anyway.)
I'm thinking about making a few other "battlefield terrain/obstacle" items along these lines, such as jersey barriers, standing chain-link fence sections, makeshift barricades, dumpsters, etc. ... but I have no particular priority or order on them at the moment. This mostly got done primarily just because I was able to find some decent references and it didn't take long to make them.
