Everything you never wanted to know about cows giving birth!!

Boomie gave birth yesterday!!!! I watched. First her hips completely lowered (for a while she had this weird hump at the back that made her look like a camel) and then her water broke (a white slime that just sort of hung down). So because NO ONE KNEW ANYTHING EXCEPT FOR WHAT GOOGLE TOLD THEM all the volunteers went to lunch cause we thought it was hours away. Me and Claire stopped in and Antionetta went to our room to nap during our "siesta time"(we have a break after lunch at 1:30 until 4) so Claire went to bring her share of laundry up to add to our pile and then went back to her room, but I decided to stay. Sure enough within two minutes a bag of fluid and blood came out and once again NO ONE KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON and Bhagaveti was all "I don't know if we're supposed to pop it or not" like hitch please you've had nearly a year to figure this shit out! And then behind the bag I could see something yellow coming out and I was like "please be a foot!" and then I raced like the devil up the 5 flights to our room to get Antionetta and then raced back while she was getting dressed. And for a bit this leg kept coming out and then going back in while Boomie was freaking out and not properly tied tightly enough. So then the vet came with extra rope and they had to tied it around Boomie's mouth and ger tongue was flapping about wildly and her eyes were huge and the vet had to PUT HIS HANDS INSIDE to uncrossing the calf's legs and he said the baby was underdeveloped so Bhagaveti made all the kids there (it was me, antionetta, kashananavalley holding Boomie's head, a random guest who had experience with cows, that guy's 3 kids and this random nice devotee whose name idk and a guy I didn't know in this small makeshift stable). But anyway the kids were told to leave in case the baby was dead or deformed and everyone was upset and random nice devotee was kind of like 'if the baby is underdeveloped cant we delay the birth?"even as its legs were coming out and you could tell even she knew it was crazy but everyone was upset. The vet tied white rope in knots around the baby's front legs once they were uncrowded and him and Random guest pulled super hard everytine Boomie pushed. And then soon enough the front legs were out and then the head and its eyes were closed and then it seemed only a few more push pulls until the baby was all out. They kind of just picked it jp and laid it down on the hay and went back to Bookie and there was this horrible few seconds were we all thought he was dead, he was SO SKINNY like a wet bag of flesh and bones and my eyes feared up because I had told Boomie it would all be alright and Bookie wasn't going over and it was pretty terrible all around. But then his eye opened (he was on his side so only half his face was showing) and he looked around. And random nice devotee was all "HE'S ALIVE!" but even so I was still testy cause I thought no way such a small skinny skinny little calf was gonna make it (he looked like he had no flesh besides his organs he was that flat looking) and the vet was yelling in Dutch as afterbirth was coming out and me and Anyionetta were still on the ground clutching hands (there had been a galf-hearted talk about going to find Claire but she had said during lunch she was awful with blood and didn't want yo see it and neither of us wanted to miss it yo go find her). Anyway then Anyionetta translated for me and said it was ok but it was still hard yo believe. But then Boomie was let go and wandered over and locked the baby and lo and behold he was ok!

I'll post a picture later!
