Intro Post - Kaylee arrives at Oxford
Kaylee had been re-hauling Serenity's engines yet again, when she suddenly felt everything go black. When she woke, she thought she must have hit her head, and was now dreaming.
She was planet-side, but it was unlike any of the planets she had ever been to. It reminded her of stories of Earth-That-Was, but she knew that there was no way that she could be there.
It was just then when she saw the shaggy brown dog at her feet, and she suddenly knew his name was Mack. "I must be dreaming," Kaylee said, rubbing her head, looking for bumps, "I need to wake up and fix that gorram engine, or we will never make it to Whitefall."
"I don't think this is a dream"
Kaylee looked around, startled, and when she didn't see any other humans around her, she looked down at the dog, who was wagging his tail. She leaned down, and petted his head. "I'm not sure about that," she said, laughing merrily, "But on the chance you are right, I suppose we need to find some folk who can tell us where this is."
Mack's tail wagged faster "I'll go where you lead, Kaylee"
