My late goodbye to QUEER AS FOLK

Aug 09, 2005 11:42

So it is finally over, the series finale came and went on Sunday. A show that I hated at first (because I thought it projected a stereotype to all these brainless idiots in the world), But grew to love with it's no apologies stance. I actually cried a little as it all came to an end. Life goes on, but I just find that this show connected so many people, made us feel like we had something in common to watch, gave us a view that no one else would dare show us on any network.

I also think that this show ended way too early!!

I think due to these conservative times that there was probably some pressure to pull the plug on the show, that people would rather see a bunch of stupid straight people in the suburbs who sell and smoke pot! (wow that's really a creative and shocking series!! *gags*) It will probably last ten fucking seasons though. Oh yeah, and we can watch the L word!! OOOOHHH that really will make all these stupid heterosexual men get off watching a show with their biggest fantasy...two women screwing each other. Lesbians are so special they have to have their own show. True QAF could have used more lesbians but more people (straight men/families) will watch when it's just woman on woman action and stories. LOTS of ratings there!!

Or as my dumb co-worker put the other night..."well it's just natural for two women to show affection to each other, guys are'nt supposed to do that" So now that dykes have been accepted here in the heart of the bible belt, we can just take a deep sigh of relief right?  FUCKIN INBRED IDIOTS!!! Still goes to show that whatever gets breeders off makes the world go round. I hope their dicks rot off!

So everyone take ten steps back when it comes to acceptance of gays and wave goodbye to any last thing that may bring us together in front of the T.V. set!!

It is located in the southern part of New York State, at the mouth of the Hudson River (also known as North River as it passes Manhattan Island). “The Big Apple” is a major world capital and a world leader in finance, the arts, and communications. The port of New York is one of the finest in the world and ranks as the largest port complex on the East Coast. The city is also the center of advertising, fashion, publishing, and radio broadcasting in the United States.

Oh yes, you're happy about this. You secretly wanted to get New York, didn't you? And why not...it's the city the symbolizes America and all the freedoms that America offers. You welcome diversity.
