Sarkozy Makes Major Arrests
The French President showed that he meant business today.

1000 French police surged into the Muslim housing projects and arrested some 35 criminals who had committed especially egregious acts of arson and violence during the November 2007 riots. This included individuals who had fired on the police and those who had burned down a library and a preschool.
Let's hope that this isn't just for show. Let's hope that the French are going to grill these suspects hard, and discover the identities of the ringleaders. Hopefully, these will be the prelude to many more such arrests, with resistance to the arrests dealt with swiftly and decisively. And, hopefully, those arrested will be tried, convicted, and sentenced to long stretches in prison followed by deportation. Then, we will know for sure that Sarkozy has begun the solution of the French Muslim problem.
