This post, "Troubleshooting," explains it.

In case it's who I think it is, and others are experiencing similar difficulties, I'm sure that Andrew P. Marston of Marshfield, MA, would be delighted to receive callers in person to discuss the issue.  After all, it would only be polite, and I'm certain he's made many friends in his decades on the ( Read more... )

Ok, I have to ask, because while the unfolding drama is amusing, it makes no sense to me. Yama is a troll, sure. Well known and all that. But he isn't Dennis Markuze or david_deacon or anyone like that; he's no physical threat to anyone.

So why all the escalation NOW, after so many years? Why the attempts to get him arrested, to SWAT him and what not? Like I said, the fracas is amusing, and I'm glad to see Vox get all hot n' heavy on it because it makes him one step closer to being his father, but I....just don't get the why.

Because his actions on more than one occasion have gone beyond trolling. He has actually broken the law on more than one occasion.
And there are some people who are afraid that one day he will show up at their door to kill/rape them, or that he will send others to do it.

From what I've read from the sources provided, the police are going to look at his actions, file a report, and dump it. He presents no real credible threat . His statements could be construed as threats if you were charitable, but no prosecutor is going to be able to make it stick, as any public defender could show that the statements are highly ambiguous at best. Popehat would do a better job explaining how his actions fall under free speech ( ... )

Have you spent the money to do a background check on him? If so, I'm curious, rumor is that he has a conviction in his past, is that true? Rumor is also that he inherited a decent sum of money when his father passed. Was wondering if that was true as well.

"He doesn't own a gun, as state records show"
oh, and there are NO illegal guns in existence, no-way not ever

"he doesn't make any kind of money at all to allow him to go traveling, as his tax records show"
oh, and people everywhere always report their income to irs, to the nearest cent

what an interesting defense

I will put down $100 in real money that he does not have a gun, legal or illegal.

oh, and people everywhere always report their income to irs, to the nearest cent

I'll put down another $100 that he has no hidden income.

This guy isn't a participant of the dark web or a drug dealer or any of that crap. He's a pasty computer nerd.

When Yama is actually cornered, I'd agree with that.
But he's not cornered now; there's no real threat to him.

As to whether or not he owns a gun, in this country there is no way of knowing. Most guns are not registered with the government, and private sales in most places are not required to be reported (and in the few that are, a lot of people ignore that law, as it's unconstitutional).

As for money to travel? Well traveling internationally can be expensive, plus you have to get a passport. But traveling in the US? Greyhound is very cheap.

But still, most people know so little about him that is provably true or false, that people don't know what his means and abilities are.

Also, income is taxable. Not assets.
