A Blindness to Evil

Observing the current situation in Syria and Iraq, in which the hilariously-named ISIS is engaging in the not-so-hilarious most brutal and insane atrocities upon the populaces they are conquering, including but not limited to mass murders and horribly-sadistic killings of small children and parents before one another, and filming them and ( Read more... )

Exactly right.

Notice how they are so up in arms about the poor Palestinians? Open letters by celebrities. Urging the boycot of products from Israel. They even get countries to do such things, all because of the "poor Palestinians".

Because it's their pet project, the poor muslims.

Syria, in the beginning, was because "Assad is a dictator" but as soon as it became clear that the "freedom fighters" were actually mostly Al-Queda and the atrocities they committed became more and more mainstream news, it was shoved to the background, after all, mussie-on-mussie violence has been ongoing for centuries and no one is interested.

It would still be background news or no news if ISIS hadn't decided to cross the borders into Iraq and Lebanon and up their terror campaign. Hardly anyone in MSM made mention of the tortures, rapes, murders and such that they were being trained in during their time in Syria. It was the blogs, the "citizen journalists" who did that. The MSM portrayed them as courageous, honourable fighters for freedom. And still, they try to downplay it. It is only because, in the US, Obama is being forced to actually help the Iraqi government if he wants to have even a small change of perpetuating dem rule come the next election cycles.

He is the one that boasted "Mission Accomplished", pulling out the last troops and claiming Iraq to be stable, just a few weeks ago. Now, he's distancing himself so quickly from that, claiming he isn't responsible, blaming everyone from his predecessor to the current Iraqi government. If he and his party weren't in such dire straights, they would have done even less than they do now because, let's face it, even the MSM isn't doing much to bring the situation over there into the psyche of the masses.

Between MH17 and ISIS sprouting out of the "freedom fighters" we must support to topple a dictator to "Iraq is stable", he is totally behind the times. Perception if everything and he seems to finally realize it a bit, even though he's only doing less than the bare minimum.

BTW, over here, in the Netherlands? We have a muslim female member of a socialist party, who is also employed by the government at the National Office of Terrorism Prevention who claims ISIS is actually comprised out of Israelis/Zionists and that they are the ones perpetrating all the atrocities because, let's face it, islam is the religion of peace.

And they're not alone. In the months that the conflict in Syria has raged, have any of those screaming about Gaza and Israel ever said anything about that situation? The UN high commissioner Pillay, did she ever open her mouth, even for a token statement about what is happening to the religious minorities in Syria at the hands of the "freedom fighters"? Penelope Cruz and her hubby? Did we see any demonstrations against the horror there and currently in Iraq and Lebanon?

No and because is mussie-on-mussie violence and religious minorities who bear the brunt. It's not interesting. Frankly, all of them need to be rounded up and dropped right in the middle of the people they so admire to keep quiet about. Let's see how they handle it.
