Even as a straight male Christian (and not taking into consideration my loved ones who are not straight, not male, or not Christian), under Sharia I would be:

* required to pay the Jizya (religious tax paid by non-Muslims)
* forbidden to speak against Muhammad or Islam in any way
* forbidden to preach my faith to a Muslim - if he converts, he is liable to death as an apostate
* forbidden to open up a new church building, and even existing churches would require government permits for all upkeep and repairs
* in practice, discriminated against at every turn (the "do not be friends with the kafir" verse of Qur'an)

On top of that I would have to suffer under political, economic and cultural fascism generally. Sharia is hardly libertarian in outlook.

Unfortunately I'm just one man. I can't do America's international diplomatic or military work by myself; the federal government has to do it on my behalf. But I am committed to opposing this encroachment where I can. I am actually starting to look for more ways to do so - more than just saying that I'll shoot them when they come knocking on my door. (Which I would, but there are many steps between here and there.)
