The group that attacked the consulate is called Ansar al Sharia, according to Libyan sources. The group has claimed responsibility for the attack but did not mention the movie as motivation. The group is close to al Qaeda ideology and exists in east Libya.

We will know the Libyan government's position by its actions.  If the Libyan government responds by considering Ansar al Sharia to be in revolt against Libya and crushes the Terrorists by main force, then Libya may reasonably argue to be innocent of this outrage.  If the Libyan government does not, then Libya is a Terrorist State, and has just  committed a major act of war against the United States of America.

So far our Lightworker-in-Chief has said nothing about punishing the culprits or holding Libya responsible if they are not punished, instead stating

"I strongly condemn the outrageous attack on our diplomatic facility in Benghazi, which took the lives of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens. Right now, the American people have the families of those we lost in our thoughts and prayers. They exemplified America's commitment to freedom, justice, and partnership with nations and people around the globe, and stand in stark contrast to those who callously took their lives. I have directed my Administration to provide all necessary resources to support the security of our personnel in Libya, and to increase security at our diplomatic posts around the globe. While the United States rejects efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others, we must all unequivocally oppose the kind of senseless violence that took the lives of these public servants," President Obama said in a statement.

which is incredibly weak, having as it does neither ultimatum nor even request for the punishment of Ansar al Sharia, and including an apology to Libya for an act of free speech in California -- about the worst thing he could say at this point, since it tells the Libyans "We're ashamed of ourselves.  We won't act."

On my reading of what has happened, what we should be doing is demanding that the Libyans crush this group, hand over to us the persons responsible for this outrage, or be considered either in a state of anarchy and thus terra nullus, or in a state of war against the United States of America, with all that implies in regard to the use of Libya as a free-fire zone.

Do you think Obama will do this?

As we approach the 2012 elections, we should ask ourselves if we want four more years of this fool at the helm.
