A Question That Must NEVER Be Asked if One Loves Peace!

Sep 01, 2010 10:04

Ran into some people who are happy that we're pulling out of Iraq and wish that we'd pull out of Afghanistan, right now! When I asked them "What about the Taliban and Al Qaeda, wouldn't they just keep on attacking us like they did before 9-11?", it threw them into a ferment. I'd asked a question that no one is supposed to ask ( Read more... )

diplomacy, al qaeda, taliban, 9-11, america, strategy, war, afghanistan

Also, Jordan, it looks like our good friend Yama has jumped into the fray there.

That's how I know of you guys.

Also, for fuck's sake, do you go around looking for journals to invade?

Interesting, that you perceive commenting on OPEN ENTRIES as an "invasion."

Commenting is one thing, posting a link here and getting your goon brigade to help is another.

Yeah, even sf_drama has the "thou shalt not troll personal journals" rule, and they're the feeder team for Encyclopedia Dramatica.

They're all free-willed individuals, not some sort of slave army of evil. All I'm doing is making them aware of the thread and offering them the opportunity to comment. They have the same right to comment as does anyone else.

Take note that it seems to escape them that not everyone is choosing to comment either; some of your friends are just shaking their head and laughing at the dumb.

I DARED DEFY YOUR ORDERS TO COMMENT!!!

Well, actually, I just found it more amusing and interesting to watch. Apparently, that's horribly, horribly wrong of me, since then, I don't fulfil yama's delusion of my being your Weapon of Mass Snark. Or something.

But then, she's a hypocrite, stalker, troll, fucking delusional, hypocrite, crazy ...did I mention hypocrite already?

"I DARED DEFY YOUR ORDERS TO COMMENT!!!"

Yeah, um, translating Tagalog to Lithuanian to English doesn't always result in coherence.

More displays of your ignorance, really. The Philippines is a bilingual country with Filipino AND English in use.

*claps some more* Go on. Stun me with more displays of what a moron you are.

It still looks like you used an algorithmic translator to write that.

Yeah, well, I didn't think you could understand plain and simple English (That's what language I used, by the way.) I don't expect much from a lunatic like you.

Oh wait, it wasn't Jordan who was saying he orders people to go comment in other people's journals... it was you who was saying he does.

I'm still wondering how you avoid getting run over by a bus or any other vehicle every day.

cutelildrow's written English is idiomatically-accurate, close to perfect. The very occasional unusual turns of phrase probably come from the fact that she also reads and writes Tagalog and German. In particular, her syntax is better than yours.

Why, my dear Jordan, merci beaucoup! cutelildrow September 3 2010, 11:05:05 UTC
I am also greatly amused at how exceptionally racist she is being in assuming (as well as constantly asserting) that because I am not American/British/Australian/Canadian.... English isn't my first language.

Rather noteworthy, because the Philippines was, since the start of the century till some time after the Second World War... a colony of the United States of America.

Like I said, her hypocrisy and real ignorance knows no bounds. It provides me idle amusement to encourage its display for everyone to see.

I'd like to take the opportunity to say, again, mazel tov, and raise a toast to you and your beloved Lady. To love and to life!

Wow... for someone who berates people for being unsympathetic, you basically made fun of someone who you assume doesn't speak English as a first language only makes you come off as incredibly ignorant and hypocritical.

So...

Racist.

She also assumes as much because I'm a widdle brown Asian daring to know a language I'm not supposed to know! What are we Filipinos supposed to know, right? We're just little brown people, from her POV.
