Hilarious Self-Censorship by Karen Miller

Apr 02, 2010 11:06

Karen Miller, who to my astonishment I found was actually a published fantasy writer, penned the following astonishing comment, as karenmiller, (http://jaylake.livejournal.com/1692287.html?view=15231359#t15231359) onto lakeshore's journal.

"My suspicion is that liberals are very bigoted..."

It's not a suspicion with me. I know it for a fact. Take a look at this post:

Here's what you need to do, Cloudchaser. Go into a public place with a friend, and just let it out. You want to scream "OBAMA IS A NIGGER" so badly, yet you repress yourself and we have to deal with you. The friend is there to explain to passers-by that it's part of your therapy. Maybe then there will only be a small mob that wants to beat you up.

You get bonus Internet points if you do this, say, in the Watts neighborhood in L.A.

You clearly cannot do subtlety, so just let it out. It's the healthy thing to do.

Here, he's saying that Blacks are savages that can be driven into murderous rages by mere words. I'm sure he'd find a lot of agreement with that premise on the Stormfront forums.

What is "affirmative action" other than the presumption of "Negro inferiority"? (Besides, it makes liberals feel useful as they shoulder that "white man's burden" on behalf of their "little brown brothers".)

How about this?

Summers, who resigned as Harvard's president in June 2006, sparked controversy in early 2005 when he said during an academic conference that the innate differences between men and women might be one reason fewer women succeed in math and science. Nancy Hopkins, a biologist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, walked out on Summers's talk and later said that if she had not, she would have "blacked out or thrown up."

Note: emphasis mine

So basically Hopkins takes to the feinting couch just like her great, great, great, Victorian grandmother. How's that for a "modern, liberated, feminist" woman? This is progress? Thanks, but no thanks.

Moonbats are just a bundle of contradictions, and they are highly bigoted so long as that bigotry doesn't involve their special, protected classes. Whites, males, Furries are all fair game as far as they are concerned.

Not quite a model of a liberated woman.

You need to unpack and explain. Who is "not quite a model of a liberated woman," and why? You've given no reason for your claim.

Hopkins on her feinting couch is not quite a model of a liberated woman, imo.

Sorry if I Replied to a different comment. I'm having trouble navigating here.
