Pakistan Delenda Est

America and India now apparently have intelligence proving that the Pakistani ISI, which effectively controls the Pakistani Army, was behind the Mumbai attacks. Pakistan is utterly refusing to cooperate with Indian demands for extradition even of the TERRORISTS behind the attack, let alone of the government officials.

This means that Pakistan has carried out a major act of aggression against India. Not only that, but it is an act of aggression which included the murder of civilians interned by the raiding force, which means that India is no longer morally bound by any limits in the prosecution of the war: "Mumbai Quarter" may prevail, at the discretion of the Indians.

The fact that the Pakistani civilian government is apparently neither in control of the ISI nor Army does not mean, contrary to what some say, that India would be wrong to retaliate against Pakistan. What it means is that the ISI-army axis is the real government of Pakistan, and the civilian government merely its figurehead.

The civilian government of Pakistan, if it wants to not be guilty of complicity in Pakistan's aggressions against India, should now stand aside and do nothing to interfere in any chastisement of the Pakistani Army or ISI by India. If the civilian government instead attempts such interference, then they are accessories after the fact to the Pakistani war crimes.

America is currently trying to restrain India from attacking Pakistan. This is, in my view, a serious mistake on our part. What we should be doing is assuring India of our support in the event of an Indo-Pakistani War. As for the Northwest Province, we need to be arranging for an airborne supply route into Afghanistan so that, when the war comes, we can drive into the Northwest Province from Afghanistan while the Indians drive into Pakistan from the east.

We should not try to avoid escalation in this war. Pakistan is a nuclear Power, and Day One of the war should feature the annihilation of the Pakistani nuclear arsenal so as to prevent (if possible) a single Pakistani missile from being launched. In ensuing days we need to smash the Pakistani nuclear production infrastructure, and in the after-war arrangements put India in charge of ensuring that Pakistan cannot ever rebuild that arsenal.

The goal should be the shattering of the Pakistani Army and the reaming-out of Pakistan to eliminate the Islamofascists there. The actual occupation of Pakistan should be carried out by Indian troops -- they have a score to settle, and won't be too gentle with the Pakistanis.

Pakistan has betrayed Civilization -- let Pakistan now feel Civilization's wrath.
