There are reasons people shouldn't answer personal ads...
So I've started answering Craig's List personal ads when I get bored at work. Which is often.
Yesterday I answered what I thought to be a good ad. The guy posted a pic of himself, and he was fairly cute. Had recently lived in Austin, so we had a lot in common. We began exchanging emails, and he was fairly witty. Also said he thought my brain was sexy because I use big words. I took that to be quite the compliment.
So things are going well in this email back-and-forth, and I'm contemplating seeing if he wants to grab some coffee. Then he tells me he doesn't have a car. Hmm, I think. A little annoying, but not a deal-breaker.
Then he tells me he doesn't have a car because he can't get insurance due to there being a warrant for his arrest in Austin.
"Hmm," I think. "Perhaps this warrant is for unpaid parking tickets..."
So I ask him what it's for.
He says it's for violating his probation by living in Houston. He's on probation for coke possession.
Think I'll stay single for the time being...
