Our SF group book circle are going to discuss John M. Ford's The Dragon Waiting in a couple of weeks. Before reading it I thought I'd read Richard III first, because TDW is supposed to tie in with it. I wasn't prepared for the complete lack of Richard IIIs in our bookcase, though. Granted, we don't have all Shakespeare's plays in commented editions, but I was sure we had all the major ones. Not so.
I'vs spent almost an hour going from bookshop to bookshop, and the library, without finding anything else than the Penguin edition. Hrmph. The English Bookshop had the Arden Pericles, but nothing else. No Hamlet. No Macbeth. What is the world coming to? I'm seriously shaken. Celsiusbokhandeln, LundeQ and Studentbokhandeln had a few plays each, but only LundeQ had Richard III. And only the Penguin.
Ah, well. Penguin it is. I prefer the Ardens, but I guess it can't be helped.
