Ohmygosh!

I just watched Bowling for Columbine and I think I'm moving to Canada! O.O

I also watched 1408 and Ratatouille recently. I don't usually watch scary movies becomes I'm a huge coward and I don't want to be startled by every little noise after I watch one, but I was compelled to watch this one for some reason. Maybe it was because it was based on a Steven King story who's writing I really admire when I'm foolish enough to read it. XD

Anyway, 1408 was a great movie! Scary, but with enough substance for a repeat viewing. And surprisingly I think I just may watch it again. =D

Ratatouille was great, too! It was good for driving away the heebyjeebies from 1408. XD I liked Remy a lot, but I think my favorite characters were from the human cast. I loved Linquini and Collete, especially when they were interacting. Skinner, Gusteau, and Anton Ego were great, too. I even liked the secondary chef characters! =D

However, even though I loved that movie and thought it was great and will watch it again, this (and a few of the other recent Pixar movies, to be honest) just didn't have that...magical quality, that certain something more, that I've come to expect and haven gotten from Toy Story and Monster's Inc and Finding Nemo. I don't know what's up with that because it's really a great movie. ?_? Maybe I didn't fall in love with A Bug's Life or The Incredibles or Cars because the stories were a little more familiar to me. That was definitely true with A Bug's Life, anyway. I mean, it was pretty much the same story you see in a lot of animated movies. And all of the good jokes were in the commercials ;_;. Cars and Ratatouille were the closest I've come to falling in love with a Pixar movie in a while.

I don't know, maybe I just like buddy movies. :b

Anyway, Meet the Robinsons was fantastic! The commercials didn't give it any justice and I want it for Christmas.
