Ohmyghosh, this is so true: http://www.uglyhill.com/d/20050728.htm

So I am now officially a member of the Burger King staff.  These interviews where the only real questions you're asked are "When can you work?" and "What uniform size do you need?" are a lot less...painful.  Especially when compared to some off the strange interviews I've had recently. I had an interview for a supply store (pens and printers and stuff like that) a couple of days ago  in which  the interviewer smoked a cigarrete and asked me all kinds of questions that had nothing to do with the job.  I know interviews can deviate into other topics, but he didn't even start there.  And at the end of it all he told me I was too nice for the other employees there. ?_?  The lady who was in there before me wasn't chosen because she checked 'Full Time' instead of 'Part Time' on her application even though she was willing to work anything.  She came out with the same bemused smile that I imagine was on my face.  He was very pleasent through the whole thing but he did mention that he had two candidates in mind already and I guess he was just trying to quickly eliminate people he didn't think would mesh well.

(And in case anyone is wondering, I don't think it was a sex thing-- there are women that work there already.)

Well, Burger King may not be the bestest job EVER but it'll do for now and will help out with expenses so I'm grateful for that.

I have an appointment this morning for someone to check out my foot, which I broke a while ago. I started a new workout routine and I can tell the rest of me is in much better shape, but my foot hasn't been too happy about it.  I hope he just tells me to go back to therapy or something, and that I don't have to go though something long and involved like surgery.  That would suck.

I'm seeing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory today no matter what.

life, work
