Oooof... feels like a long day. I had to go to County Hall today for an interview and aptitude testing -- all part of the process when you sign up for their casual work register. If all goes well tonight then it won't have been necessary really, but it's best to have as many options open as possible I guess. I managed to score 100% on the classification and numerical reasoning tests (w00t!) and I finished the copy-typing exercise in half the time allowed... which is odd, because I never considered myself to be particularly speedy at typing (it wasn't a hard task though). Afterwards I met up with mum for some shopping, and after a lot of searching I eventually found a really nice pair of wide leg trousers and a cute little blouse -- both v. cheap!
I've just woken up from a snooze and I'm planning to get a bit of work done on my dual-task processing presentation before I head out for my test shift. Should be simple enough, but I've never been a manager before so I'm kinda excited about that!
Oh, and thank you to everyone who wished me happy birthday (or even "Hippo Birdy" as Rhi put it -- I like that!). Big hugs all round!
And just in case I'm having any major Canada cravings, my mum got my the *entire* collection of Due South DVDs -- there goes my social life!
