I have finally decided on a church - one that I should have really started going to a long time ago. For about three years now I have slowly re-embraced both the regular worship of God after a long time in the spiritual wilderness. I have decided on the following formula:
No music
Defined structure
Rules
A lot of reference to the Bible
I don't believe this would suit everyone but for someone who once was a church musician - music would be a distraction. For someone who is a rampant individualist (some would say egotist) Church needs structure and rules.
And for someone who struggles with their daily routine of praying and reading the bible - much reference to it is a must.
