I had this up on my Facebook but thought I would also post it here for those of you without Facebook, and for those of you who care.
1.For someone who isn't a big fan of change, I always seek it.
2. I internalize my stress.
3. Wishes Jennifer didn't tag me - I hate these survey things! You wanna know me? Then take me out for a drinks. "In Vino Veritas". Although there will still be stuff I won't talk about. I am a pretty guarded person and rather not burden/bore my friends or family with stuff about me, no matter if it is big or small. I'd rather know more about you then talk about myself.
4. I get sick a lot. I get multiple colds each year and I was knocked off my feet two years ago with pneumonia. I always get sick in one form or another when I travel .Apparently I was born with a cold so that could explain a lot. Germs just think I make a lovely home for them I guess. :P
5. I cry at all children's movies , especially those involving animals. Even if there is a happy ending and/or no one dies, I still get weepy at the cuteness of it all. And don't get me started on Wall - E and/or The Iron Giant. Or Babe. Or Lambert the Sheepish Lion. I am getting misty eyed just thinking about them. WHY DO YOU HAVE TO PICK UP THE LITTLE LION CUB YOU STUPID SHEEP HE JUST WANTS TO MAKE FRIENDS. Oh, and one time my Mom read me The Ugly Duckling when I was a kid and I didn't sleep a wink that night. Forever traumatized. HE IS NOT A UGLY YOU STUPID SNOOTY SWANS LET HIM HANG OUT WITH YOU. heh.
6. I have a love/hate relationship with my job.
7. My biggest fear is death, but it's the one thing that fascinates me the most.
I use to have a fear of flying, but I have been cured. And thank god because being a travel agent who is afraid of flying is not usually good for business. ;)
8. My Mom is the best person I know . She is so many things that I will never be and I am always in awe of her. HI MOM. (yeah you're so tagged)
9. I daydream about traveling all the time - I am the happiest when I am somewhere else.
10. Doesn't really get all the hype about Toronto. It's an okay city , but my honeymoon period with it is over. There is nothing here that I can't do elsewhere- including Ottawa. I have some terrific friends here, and close family, but it hasn't and will probably never feel like home.
11.I am completely deaf in my left ear and have been since birth. I get nervous about how my good ear is going to handle as I age. That is the main reason why I don't go to nightclubs or concerts anymore, or anywhere that has a lot of background noise or echo - it bothers my ear.
12. I always worry that my friends think I am a flake.
13. I miss doing the comedy troupe stuff, as amateur as we were. It was a great experience and hope we can start it up again one day. :)
14.I've been a lot more sensitive about what people say to me than I have been in the past. And I've been insulted multiple times in the last year or so and when that wouldn't bother me 5 years ago , it bothers me now and I have a harder time letting it go.
15.I LOVE the fact that I don't look 33! YAY for good genetics! My entire family looks half their age.
16.My longest relationship ever was 1 year. Sad or cool? You decide.
I will never stay in a relationship for the sake of settling. If it doesn't work out, it probably never will. I rather be single then be with someone that I don't love.
17. I love spewing out random facts on a wide variety of topics. I am not book smarts by any means, but I am well educated and incredibly observant - and "life smart"
18. I do miss dating believe it or not. I miss that attention and that feeling when someone digs you.
19.Putting Sabrina down was the single hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life (so far).
20. The older I get , the more curious I am about where I come from. I would like to meet my real father one day, but mainly for his medical records.
21.I have so many different interests and passions that I can't see myself settling for one single career in my lifetime. I want to be a number of different things including a forensic detective, a travel writer, a funeral director, etc, etc. Sometimes I wish my brain was "simpler" and that I can just settle for something. Restless soul, I suppose.
22. The first "real" concert I went to was Warrant in Ottawa when I was 13. HA!
Remember "She's my cherry pie?" Of course you do.
23. I love meeting new people , especially when I travel. I've made some great international friends and every time I meet someone new from another country I feel like it's a clean slate for some reason. Like I can really let my guard down and be myself. It's hard to explain, but yeah, new friends = AWESOME.
Old friends and current friends = AWESOME, and in my heart forever.
When it comes to friends, they are mucho importante. But I seek quality, not quantity.
24.I am looking forward to losing a substantial amount of weight - life catches up to you and then you wake up and you're like HOLY SHIT what happened? I keep the dieting aspect of my life relatively private because sometimes "support" from loved ones means the exact opposite to me. If you ask me if I" should really eat that?", then I will want to eat 800 of it. :P
25. Celebrities I have met that I can remember right now: Michael Damien (remember him??), Neil Young, Donald Sutherland, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley for like 5 seconds, the actor who played Max Headroom (he was also also in Honey, I shrunk the kids), Nuno Bettencourt from the band Extreme, Sebastian Bach, uhhh that's all I can think of right now.
Well, that took a long time and was a bit painful.
OK. Your turn. Thanks for reading!
