It is in the negatives!!!! Meaning, our show's have been cancelled the last two days in a row!!!! We left lovely, lovely, oh so lovely but frozen Ann Arbor yesterday, and are now, in the not not not so lovely outskirts of Detroit. Yummmmyyyyy.
Bennett flew out to A.A, and made this trip seem all dreamy, and fun and not like work at all. Now that he's gone, I feel claustrophobic with my roomies. Everyone is thoughtful, and for the most part. And energetically generous---but dammit, three to a room- non-stop can get a bit Oppressive. I long for solidarity, on many levels.
I've always fought my lone instincts, but it is the only way I can feed the genuine sociability that rides me towards moment loving, unedited-bliss. I love my alone moments.
This trip is about a few conctrete things, and a few abstract.
Concrete: Get Equity Card/Salary/Health Insurance and develop my craft in beautiful venues. Sounds nice, But it's NOT EASY.
Abstract: Live within a group of strangers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and try to find balance, ground, humor, strength and happiness. Try.
