thank you for 210+ members!
since aya88 asked for it (and to celebrate the 210+ members, and because I'm not iconing lately) I decided to post this tutorial. :D it does wonders with some pictures but can get horrible with others so I recommend you to play around with it.

we're going from this to this.

let's go.
→ prepare your base. (I just cut and resize it.)

→ color fill layer (layer > new fill layer > solid color) #2f0e09, exclusion, opacity 30%

→ curves (layer > new adjustment layer > curves), opacity 50%
   channel: RGB
   input: 114
   output: 169

→ brightness/contrast (layer > new adjustment layer > brightness/contrast)
   brightness: -4
   contrast: +8

→ selective color (layer > new adjustment layer > selective color) method: relative
   REDS: +12, +16, +4, +24
   GREENS: +100, -100, -100, 0
   MAGENTAS: -100, +36, -96, 0

→ color balance (layer > new adjustment layer > color balance)
   shadows: +1, -3, +6
   midtones: -12, +6, -7
   highlights: +9, +7, +5

→ selective color (layer > new adjustment layer > selective color) method: relative
   REDS: -6, +44, +67, +9

→ color fill layer (layer > new fill layer > solid color) #484848, exclusion, opacity 20%

→ brightness/contrast (layer > new adjustment layer > brightness/contrast)
   brightness: +15
   contrast: -15

→ color fill layer (layer > new fill layer > solid color) #430c0d, exclusion, opacity 20%

→ color fill layer (layer > new fill layer > solid color) #73e095, soft light, opacity 10%

→ duplicate your base, drag to top and set to color, opacity 30% and you're done!
