thick slices of fresh-picked tomatoes, warm from the sun
andrulis farmer's cheese, something i will miss immensely when i leave michigan
basil chiffonade
fresh-squeezed lemonade
coarse salt
san francisco sourdough bread from nantucket bakery, spread thick with butter
pork cooked low and slow till it falls apart
thin and crispy pizza, dusted with cornmeal and dotted with tiny pepperoni
baguettes, chewy on the outside and soft on the inside
simple roasted chicken with lemon and garlic
jasmine rice, cooked to sticky perfection
cilantro, lots of it
creamy polenta and grits
tamagoyaki and white tuna sushi
...and much, much more.
but the best part of all of these things is enjoying them with someone i love.
