Twenty Years.
Its been 20 years since I started writing, 11 years since I've posted anything and about 2 weeks since I realized that I still could. I feel a nostalgic obligation to editorialize what's happened to that "tenacious bastard banging around in my chest" over a decade ago and whether all that lonely paddling ever got me anywhere.
If my late twenties were imbued with a frustrated urgency, I now understand why I was in such a hurry. Had I'd known what the shore looked like, I would've paddled harder. The shore ain't bad. I'm new here and lately it's all about learning to take in the view.
