I watched State of Play today. I thought it was really good. The plot was very, very interesting. A lot of twist and turns. The action wasn't that great, but yeah, it's a crime drama movie, not an action film. But anyway, this scene at the carpark, I thought that was nerve-wrecking. And there wasn't much music, the scene itself kept me on the edge. AWESOME!
The actors were SUPERB!!! Russel Crowe, Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams, Helen Mirren, awesome actors! Jason Bateman was funny as the PR guy. Not much humour, but again, it's a crime drama, so yeah.
Anyway, I can't help but compare Pelham 1 2 3 with State of Play, because I just watched it recently. Pelham action scenes were AWESOME! And it was fast-paced which I like and lots of sarcarsm and humour too. SOP wasn't fast-paced, but I think how they developed the plot was good, because there were all this big company names and politics and stuff, but it was okay because of the not-too-fast pace, I think. And you get to see the way journalists work, which is very, very cool.
But somehow, I think I prefer Pelham, because it's fast, funny, and lots of action.
