I was starting to wonder....
It's been basically forever since I posted. But I have news!
1) I joined a volunteer program called TIP (http://www.tiporangecounty.org/). I've now made it through the "bootcamp" training and am a newbie volunteer. My first on call shift is next Saturday and I'm excited and scared. I'm also just glad to have survived the training.
2) I have a job!!! I was beginning to wonder if I developed a second head when I went on interviews with all the rejections I got (not even counting all the non-reply resumes I sent). But apparently, this was not the case as I have now accepted a job and will start on Monday (I'm going to miss sleeping in). For the first time, the place I went to college got me in the door. Who knew some folks still hold Cal up on a pedestal? (I mean, yeah it's awesome, but still...they graduate at least some dumb people too ;) ). Anywho, I'm excited and the company seems like a place where I will fit and get a chance to grow.
3) Now that I have a job, I can finally get a hair cut. My hairs are long and need to be taimed by the wonder-stylist Gina. I'll probably call next week and schedule something for after work soon. They're pretty close to the office too.
4) With a job now secured, I can think a little more about working on my etsy store. It's still in progress and I need to get good pictures up and my resale license, but I think things are moving along. I also need to spend half a day dyeing the rest of the yarn I have ready and maybe work on some purses or jewelry.
All in all... yay!!
